Colin Farrell won big at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, Jan. 5, taking home the trophy for best male actor in a limited or anthology series. The award, Farrell's third Golden Globe ever, was in in honor of his performance in 'The Penguin.

After his Golden Globe win for The Penguin, which happened at the 82nd Golden Globes ceremony on Sunday, Colin Farrell is now the third actor after Heath Ledger and Joaquin Phoenix to take home the award for playing a Batman antagonist.

Farrell won the Globe for his performance as Oswald “Oz” Cobb in The Penguin, which saw him reprise his character from 2022’s The Batman. The series follows the events of the Robert Pattinson-led film as the Penguin makes a play to seize the reins of the crime world in Gotham.
