The Carbondale & Rural Fire Protection District called for an evacuation of the Panorama subdivision and areas east of County Road 100 to Upper Cattle Creek Road.

The Elk Fire near Meeker has burned over 2,000 acres including two houses and one outbuilding. The Coulter Creek Fire near Carbondale has burned over 100 acres and evacuations have been lifted.

The wildfire was mapped at 107 acres. It burned north of Panorama Drive, and below the Ranch at Coulter Creek Subdivision. When crews arrived at 11:04 a.m. on Sunday, they found an active fire burning in grass, pinyon, juniper and sage moving at a fast rate of speed.
