Manchester United winger Antony has given a clear indication that he wants to extend his stay at Real Betis following his loan move in the January transfer window. The Brazilian winger has hit the ground running since his switch to Spain, scoring three goals in his first four appearances for Manuel Pellegrini’s side.

Manchester United loanee Antony has said that his move to Real Betis was what his career needed after not making an impact at Old Trafford.

Antony was allowed to depart Old Trafford after a largely disappointing spell following his £85million transfer from Ajax in the summer of 2022. Although, with no reported option for a permanent deal in his Real Betis loan agreement, the forward has made sure to not burn any bridges with his parent club.

It’s no secret that Antony struggled at Manchester United, often becoming the subject of criticism for his playing style. However, everything has changed since his arrival at Real Betis.

Manchester United loanee Antony scored his third goal for Real Betis in their La Liga clash with Real Sociedad on February 16 at the Estadio Benito Villamarin.
