Amaran, starring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi, will stream on Netflix from December 5 after a successful theatrical run. It is based on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan, who was posthumously awarded the Ashok Chakra for his bravery.

Unlike the standard 28-day window for Tamil films to transition from theatres to streaming platforms, Amaran has taken a different route. Its overwhelming reception prompted distributors to request a delay in the OTT release, allowing the film to maximize its theatrical run.
