Trump hints at the end of DOGE as Musk prepares for exit as government employee
WASHINGTON -- Elon Musk’s days in Washington may soon come to an end and with it the future of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is also in question. According to the Associated Press, President Donald Trump told reporters this week that he expects Musk to return soon to his role as the head of Tesla and the social media platform X.
The news came a day after Elon Musk was widely viewed as a factor in a bad night for Republicans in Wisconsin and Florida.
